Durring this time of economic recession / depression in the United States, I'm attempting survive by dedicating myself to continued development and support of Classic ASP based websites, and other Visual Basic driven technolgies.
There is definitely a need for people who still support these older technologies out there, which I am more than happy to take on.
As long as my clients have a means of remote accessing their server by Remote Desktop, VNC, or FTP, I can work for nearly any client within the United States looking for a contractor or consultant with the right skills and enthusiasm.
Now, I know some of you ASP.NET and PHP programmers out there are snickering at me right now (maybe even laughing hysterically).
But hey! I'm good at it.
And companies everywhere are downsizing to survive, but still need the right IT person to continue development efforts, debug code, and just generally do whats needed to stay afloat.
And right now, survival is more important than always trying to push towards upgrading to the latest and greatest technologies on the market.
So to all who need a cheaper alternative to a fulltime in-house Classic ASP developer who can still bring skills working with the newest technolgies to the table as well, you've come to the right place!
And no, I'm not in India or China, nor do I just re-outsource the work to other such companies; I do all my own work.
